Pritish Narula

Chandigarh-born stand-up comedian known for his Punjabi family humour

Pritish Narula is one of the most relatable voices in Indian stand-up comedy today. Raised in Chandigarh, he brings the warmth, chaos and humour of a Punjabi household to stages around the world – and audiences can't get enough.

From Banker to Stand-Up

Before comedy, Pritish tried on plenty of hats. He built a career in banking, performed in theatre and ran his own business before discovering that his real calling was making people laugh. That life experience shows in every set – his stories come from real jobs, real family drama and real life.

His Comedy Style

Pritish's humour is anecdotal, bold and unapologetically desi. He performs mostly in Hindi with a strong Punjabi flavour, turning everyday moments – parents, relationships, work and life abroad – into big laughs. His signature is crowd work: he talks to the audience, reacts in the moment, and shapes the show around the people in the room. No two nights are ever the same.

Laughing Across the World

Known online through his "Udta Punjabi" pages, Pritish has taken his stand-up far beyond India, performing for packed audiences in Canada, the UK and Australia. He believes a comedian must keep evolving – constantly writing, testing and refining new material on stage.
